I've pompously decided that you people want to know more about me, so have my '25 Things' note from Facebook! I'd been tagged in that thing ike...thirty times, so I figured it was time to go ahead and do it

1. I am very weird and I have a lot of odd pet peeves [people poking me, people touching my shoulders, people looking over my shoulder, etc.], but my biggest pet peeve is when I tell somebody one of them and then they do it. It actually makes me want to hit them.

2. I go out of my way to avoid embarrassing people.

3. I think chemistry is the second coolest thing in the whole world. I love doing problems and learning about it and doing labs. It's lovely fun.

4. I think music is the coolest thing in the world. If there were a music history major, I'd probably pick that because I love learning about how everything came to be as it is and where we got all of the signs and syllables and trends and whatnot.

5. I don't think people understand what I mean when I say Less Than Jake is my favorite band. For the past 6 years, I have been able to listen to them at any point in my life and be smiling in 5 minutes. It's WONDERFUL. I probably looked like a nutcase today walking to class everywhere because I was grinning all day listening to them and thinking about seeing them again IN ONE MONTH AND NINE DAYS.

6. I'm very good at talking to people I don't know, but I'm not very good with actually making friends with people I don't know. I'm very picky about who I hang around [like I have room to be picky; I'm weird and nobody wants to hang around me!] so I have a LOT of acquaintances, but very few good friends.

7. I don't have a birth mark of any kind.

8. I've never dated anyone, and I'm cool with that. I'm sure it will be fun once I find someone to put up with me, but I'm in no rush.

9. The thing I hate the most in the whole world [besides the idea of hunting for sport - it's disgusting] is when I'm making a sandwich and there are holes in the bread, and the mustard goes through the bread and gets on your hands. I HATE it.

10. It annoys me when people don't speak correctly, but I don't always speak correctly myself. I KNOW what's correct, I just don't feel like saying it that way sometimes, and I'm sure that's how everyone else is.

11. My favorite thing to do is listen to music while doing nothing that takes thinking. I can't be on the internet or reading or doing homework [although I do study to classical/jazz/opera music], I have to be walking to class or driving or waiting somewhere; those are my favorite times to listen to music.

12. I am so paranoid about punctuality in school. I RUN between my classes MWF because they're so far apart, and if I were to walk normally I'd get there maybe 30 seconds late, and a couple of people do and the professors REALLY couldn't care less, but I cannot be late for class.

13. I also can't skip classes because it makes me feel like some kind of delinquent. I could have a perfectly good reason to skip class, and my parents have even told me that I'm an adult and if my time is more useful somewhere other than class that day, it's not really a big deal, but it will just eat me up.

14. I, like Amber, make lists of things [we often make lists together, go figure].

15. My favorite places to be are as follows: Wilmington, NC, Gainesvile, FL, Furman University [NOT Greenville. Although it's cute, nobody can drive!], Columbia, SC, and Myrtle Beach, SC.

16. I hate everything about the state of Georgia. I have good friends from Georgia, but I hate the majority of the people, I hate the roads that are NEVER finished, I hate the speed limits, I hate the venues, I hate the drive.

17. I've never thought of myself as having any self-esteem issues, but I used to not be able to be friends with someone if I couldn't find [or make up] something about me that was better than something about them. It was a WEIRD phase.

18. I just learned to put on makeup 2 months ago and it's fun. I only wear it when we go out on Friday/Saturday nights or if I have a performance, though. I love putting it on and I like the way it looks, but it takes too much time to put on in the morning and I'm not waking up any earlier!

19. I pull out my hair ALL THE TIME. My hair is ridiculous and even though I wash it every day it starts to lock on its own because it's really curly, so whenever I'm sitting idly, I'm probably pulling out my hair. I'm trying to stop, though, cause it's weird haha.

21. I really like to capitalize words that I want to emphasize in my sentences. I hate having to write for English classes because teachers don't want you to do that.

22. Our bell tower is off by 4 minutes and it drives me NUTS. It plays pretty songs at "noon" though.

23. I'm the type of person that won't stop talking about something/someone for weeks, and then later on I don't give a crap. I do the same thing when I get really excited for a show I'm seeing, but I get excited too early, and by the time the show has come around, I really don't care anymore so I don't have a good time.

24. Obligatory mentioning: During high school, I traveled with my friends all up and down the east coast to see bands and those were absolutely some of the best times of my life. We stayed mostly in SC, NC and GA, but went as far down as FL and as far up as NY [not driving though, ew]. I was perpetually broke because of it, because after 10th grade my parents cut off their funding haha, but I couldn't think of a better way to have spent that money.

25. I can't stand the taste of any kind of alcohol. I don't know what I'm going to do for the rest of my life. We're going to toast with sparkling cider at my wedding, apparently, cause everything is so gross to me.
